Duško Šibl was born in Zagreb in 1951. After graduating in comparative literature and art history at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb, he went to London where in 1982. graduated in painting from Byam Shaw School, and completed his postgraduate studies at Royal College in 1986. He has been living and working on the London-Zagreb-Dubrovnik route for many years, and in the last few years he has replaced Dubrovnik with Opatija.>
